Liberty and ice cream for all!
07-03-2007
PADUCAH, KY - What would summer be without family vacations, 4th of July and ice cream treats?
Dippin' Dots is making their mark on all three with the launch of their newest flavor, Liberty Ice, a non-dairy product made up of Blue Raspberry, Lemon and Strawberry Dippin' Dots flavored ices.
Red, white and blue Liberty Ice is projected to be one of the company's top selling flavors during the upcoming July 4th and Labor Day holidays.
"Dippin' Dots Ice products are particularly popular during the hottest days of summer," said Dippin' Dots Spokesman Terry Reeves. "When you've been out in the heat all day, you want something cold and refreshing. Liberty Ice has a cool, fresh flavor and it's Fat Free."
Liberty Ice is offered in more than 200 Dippin' Dots locations across the country. Commonly found in malls and stand-alone stores, Dippin' Dots are also a sought-out treat in many park and stadium venues.
"Dippin' Dots has become a summer-time staple," Reeves said. "Finding the Dippin' Dots stand is often first priority as families enter theme parks, water parks and baseball stadiums across the country."
While technically a flavored ice flavor of Dippin' Dots, Liberty Ice will sit alongside the company's many ice cream flavors all during National Ice Cream Month (July). National Ice Cream Day is July 15th.
Dippin' Dots are tiny, cryogenically frozen beads of ice cream, yogurt, sherbet and flavored ice. Invented in 1988 by microbiologist Curt Jones, Dippin' Dots offers more than two-dozen different flavors, plus seasonal flavors. The company's administrative and production headquarters are located in Paducah, Kentucky. Dippin' Dots are sold in 300 franchised retail locations and thousands of entertainment venues and special events nationwide.
