Dippin' Dots Supports Celebrity Apprentice

03-29-2008

New York, NY - Country music superstar Trace Adkins may have been runner-up on Donald Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice", but his charity is "tops" with Dippin' Dots.

Dippin' Dots was one of several companies and celebrities turning out to support The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network.  The Network was Adkins' charity of choice during this season's "Celebrity Apprentice"on NBC.  Dippin' Dots Corporate Communications Director Terry Reeves made the company's donation during the taping of the show in New York City.

"Trace is an acquaintence of Dippin' Dots Founder Curt Jones.  We were one of the companies called to lend our support to Trace and to the Network," said Reeves.  "Curt was unable to attend and it was my honor to represent Dippin' Dots' employees and franchisees nationwide."

As a food manufacturer, Dippin' Dots is keenly aware of the challenges faced by those who suffer from food allergies.  The company carefully trains its servers to segregate flavors containing known-allergens such as nuts and gluten.  Dippin' Dots also offers a line of flavored ice for those who are lactose intolerant.

"The charities featured on "Celebrity Apprentice" deserve all the attention and support they received.  We're proud of Trace and his contribution to The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (www.foodallergy.org)," Reeves said.
